A scale factor, by which all projected coordinates will be multiplied.

A dimensionless scale factor.

Remarks
This factor is often 1 or slightly less than 1. But if you want to use the 2SP construction in Carmenta Studio - one or both of the standard parallels differs from the central latitude - then the scale factor must be 1 exactly, to comply with common usage.
